Zambo" is a visual exploration of the social dynamics and weekend rituals that define contemporary Spanish youth.
This project seeks to capture how my generation – young people in their early twenties – relates, expresses itself, and finds refuge in small gestures and shared customs: going out to party, meeting for a beer, or stepping outside for a smoke. But always under some pretext, as if connecting required a shared excuse.
A whole generation has learned from these habits to initiate or solidify interpersonal bonds. I am not trying to answer the question of why this happens; my intention is not to judge or reach conclusions, but rather to show it as it is.
I am not just an observer; I am a participant in these rituals. "Zambo" tells a deeply personal story, an intimate window into my reality, and at the same time, a portrait of youth and how our society is formed.
By observing these images, I hope the viewer feels part of these stories, questions their own experiences, and reflects on how and why this occurs.
