Bio
Almudena Zambrana (Spain, 1996) is a documentary photographer based between Australia and Spain. She recently earned her MFA in New Documentary Photography at LABASAD (Barcelona). Her work focuses on contemporary documentary and long-term projects exploring identity, belonging, territory and lived experience.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with a specialization in photography at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples, as well as a degree in Physical Sciences. This hybrid background informs her practice through a combination of visual sensitivity and analytical thinking, with a strong interest in the psychological and social dimensions of everyday life.

Living and working across different countries has shaped her approach to storytelling, particularly in relation to migration, displacement and personal narratives in contexts of change.
